Mission in Malawi AFRICA
Our church's love affair with Malawi began over a decade ago when Mr Gift Dube attended the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg, MO.  He visited our church and was warmly welcomed as a brother in Christ.  When he returned to Malawi he began his dream: creating a children's library in Mzuzu.  Eagerly our church offered him support, donating over $10,000 to help get the project off the ground.

In 2014 Pastor Heather suggested that a mission team from the church visit Malawi.  In that time we witnessed not only Gift's devotion to providing educational opportunities for children  but also the vast poverty in the more rural areas of Mzuzu and beyond.

Since 2014 we have been to Malawi 3 times, spreading the love of God though offering care for children in need.  Our church has donated thousands of dollars to provide clean water, build schools, feed communities, and more.

Malawi, the warm heart of Africa, is truly a place beloved by the people of faith at Warrensburg First Presbyterian Church.

Children's Library
Children come to the library from their schools and are offered the chance not only to read books but also to play games and access the internet.
Chimame Preschool
In the commuity of Chimame in the northern region of Malawi the village elders asked for a preschool.  First Pres sent money for a roof, floor, and windows and the community built a beautiful school to serve the area children.
Deep well in Majuma
In the village of Majuma we funded the drilling of a deep water well.  Providing clean and safe drinking water for the village and surrounding area.

Feeding Programs
With the help of LISAP throughout the year we donate to feeding the communities we support as well as helping with rural hospital needs.
